- Scientists beat Disney to monster mania
IN THE week that Disney mega-movie Dinosaurs opens in cinemas across London, scientists have discovered the longest trail of dinosaur footprints in Europe, tracks belonging to a huge creature called Megalosaurus.
Using satellite technology, experts from Oxford University found a 200 metre long line of Megalosaur footprints in an Oxfordshire quarry. Each footprint of the T-Rex type monster is nearly a metre long.
In the same quarry some tracks of an even bigger reptile, the Brontosaurus-like Cetiosaurus, were also unearthed.
Dinosaurs opens on Friday 13th October.
