BBC Knock Queen Mum on the Head
- No live coverage for 100th birthday party

THE QUEEN MOTHER'S 100th birthday bash won't be seen live on TV, after it emerged the BBC had decided to pull the plug on a planned hour-long show.

The Beeb reckon the parade in July, two weeks before the Queen Mum's August 4th birthday, would attract dismal viewing figures, despite the evident popularity of the woman everyone refers to as "everyone's favourite granny."

"It's a disgrace," said one of the team running the event, which is expected to involve over 7,000 people marching up and down Horse Guards Parade. "We are now looking at it being placed as a new item."
