Fox Lights New Flame
- Award winner gets West End run

KERRY FOX heads the cast in the West End run of award-winning play In Flame, which opens at the New Ambassadors theatre in September.

New Zealander Fox, best remembered for her film roles in Shallow Grave and Welcome to Sarajevo, appeared on the London stage for a production of The Maids at the Donmar Warehouse in 1997.

In Flame, set in early 20th century Yorkshire and present-day London, explores how generations of women are victims of high-octane male egos. It's success on the fringe circuit last year bagged writer Charlotte Jones the Critics Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright and resulted in the play transferring to the big-league of London's theatreland.

Directed by Anna Mackmin, the play also stars Jason Hughes, noted for his appearance in the recent revival of John Osborne's Look Back In Anger, as well as members of the original cast Ivan Kaye, Rosie Cavaliero and Emma Dewhurst.
