Madonna: London House Prices Are Disgusting
- Star with the lump waits for a slump

LONDONERS are all too aware of the rising house prices in the capital. But the most unlikely outburst on the subject came from mega rich celebrity Madonna at the Leicester Square premiere of her new film last night.

Attending the premiere of The Next Best Thing (out on June 23) with film director boyfriend Guy Ritchie in tow, pregnant Maddy told of how she loved England. "I love the countryside, a nice glass of stout and I love my boyfriend," the star said.

But when asked about moving to the capital, the minted pop queen touched on something much closer to home. "House prices are too expensive here. I'm not going to buy yet. I'm waiting for a slump. It's disgusting."

Good news for Madonna came today in the form of a new survey that reports house prices have reached a peak, thanks to interest rate increase over the last year.

Madonna, due to give birth in September, is rumoured to want to return to the US while Ritchie, whose new film Snatch is out in September, insists on staying in Britain.
