Lap Dancer at Charles' Palace
- Prince misses out on nude revelry

PRINCE CHARLES was at home when a naked lap dancer came calling, it has emerged.

But the Prince is not thought to have laid his royal eyes - or anything else - on the dancer who was smuggled into St James Palace by two guardsmen for a raucous soldier's party. "Following an incident two officers have been disciplined," an army spokesperson said.

He might have missed out on one lady's charms, but Charles will not miss those of another, his grandmama, the Queen Mother. The Prince is reckoned to be the only one of the front line royals who will bother to turn up for the Queen Mum's gala pageant this Wednesday. The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and young Princes William and Harry are all otherwise engaged.

Police are said to have made contingency plans for trouble should the expected 1,000 members of Movement Against the Monarchy make good their threat to disrupt the event.
