Concorde Crashes in Paris
- Air France supersonic jet ploughs into hotel, killing over a hundred passengers

AN AIR FRANCE Concorde passenger jet has crashed just outside Paris.

109 passengers were on board the aeroplane and early reports suggest that all are feared dead. The craft, which was bound for New York ploughed into a hotel shortly after taking off at 3.45 pm from Paris's Charles De Gaulle airport. It is understood that all the passengers were German and that the group had chartered the craft.

French rescue services say that they have found a survivor on the site, although it is not certain whether the person was on board the aeroplane or in the hotel. It is thought that up to 4 people from inside the hotel could have perished in the incident.

The crash follows reports yesterday that a British Airways Concorde had been grounded following the discovery of a crack on the wing. Other Concorde's are believed to have experienced the same problems in recent months.
