Thames Water is Tastiest
- London tap nectar beats bottled brands

LONDON tap water beats designer label brands in the taste test, according to a survey for the respected Health Which? magazine.

Thames Water, the company which supplies large parts of London, came out top of the poll to find the tastiest water available in the country, beating expensive names like San Pellegrino, Perrier and Evian hands down.

Thames Water costs about 0.057p a litre, a mere fraction of the UKP1.09 charged for snooty San Pellegrino and 39p for more run of the mill brands such as Vittel.

The explanation for tap water's victory lies in the stringent purification process it undergoes as compared to its bottled rivals.
