London Finds Ten Twins
- World cities to help Livingstone

KEN LIVINGSTONE has fleshed out his plan to boost London's image as a vibrant melting pot by announcing an ambitious 'twinning' arrangement with a number of world famous cities.

The London Mayor has set up what he calls 'friendship agreements' with cities as diverse as Delhi, Dublin, Dhaka, Johannesburg and Kingston. All five are tied to London already by virtue of the fact they are the places that so many Londoners originate from.

Another set of five cities - Berlin, Moscow, New York, Paris and Tokyo - have been designated 'partnership' cities. All ten will help London plan its future growth, according to Livingstone. "There is so much we can learn from working with other cities," the mayor said.
