In Short:
Another new cast falls
in at the play in which old friends fall out over modern art.
Winner of 'Best New Comedy' award at the 1997 Olivier Awards.
In Full:
"Just call out
my name and I'll come running," sang loyal Carole King way
back when things were simple. But Carole never had a friend quite
like the characters in Art and would be best advised to steer
clear of the kind of vituperative back stabbing on offer here
if she wants to sing the old song with conviction again. Art
cleverly peels back the layers of deceit that inevitably make
up a friendship, refusing dull soul searching in favour of a
load of good jokes. The bitter pill may be served up sweet but
don't be fooled. Laugh now, pain later.

'Chic, short, and wickedly,
perceptively funny, it's the perfect West End play.' Nick Curtis,
London Evening Standard
