How much did it cost to build?
Approximately 750 million UKP

Why Greenwich?
Greenwich is the centre of time, well at least the concept of a central time was invented here; Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The Royal Observatory (pictured below right), Greenwich hosts the meridian line which divides western and eastern hemispheres

How will I get there?
A new station on the Jubilee line will be the main stepping off point. There will also be direct access by river to the site. Cars will not be encouraged. For more travel info click here.
