HR Advisor- Personnel/RecruitmentDescription: A great charity based in the heart of London are looking to recruit for an Interim HR Advisor to start almost immediately. Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development you will be responsible for providing professional support to managers in and around London on a wide range of issues. You will be a commercially minded candidate, able to work under little supervision & able to hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities for the HR Advisor • Absence Management – to work with managers to ensure the appropriate & timely management of long & short term sickness absence • Performance Management – to provide professional & commercial advice on individual performance issues including on ways to improve performance • Policy Development - To identify where changes to policies, procedures and the employee handbook may be required and to work with the Employee Relations Advisor to draft changes • Supervise the HR Administrators & ensure the provision of first class administration • Coaching & Mentoring managers to improve their confidence and ability to drive improved performance. • Payroll - To supervise the Personnel and Payroll • Administrator in preparing the monthly payroll instructions and to sign off the payroll each month • To be the Administrator for Snowdrop software including setting up new users, routine maintenance and updating. Person Specification • Educated to degree level and CIPD qualified • Experience of successfully, sensitively and actively managing long and • short term sickness absence cases.  • Excellent track record of resolving HR issues in a business-focused • fashion through the provision of sound professional advice • Thorough and up to date knowledge of employment law and good practice • Driving licence • Understanding of payroll • First class written English and the ability to draft complex professional policies and HR correspondence • Able to travel in the UK if required • Ideally experience of using ADP Freedom and/or Snowdrop KCS
