Special Educational Needs Coordinator (Teacher)- Education
Industry: Education
Company: TimePlan Education
Location: Redbridge, London
Salary: £140 - £160/day Expenses + subsistence allowance
Benefits: Expenses + subsistence allowance
Description: SENCo Required
TimePlan have been requested by a good client school in Redbridge to recruit an experienced Teacher SENCo for a long-term, full-time role commencing in September and running for the duration of the academic year, 2012-13.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced SENCo to make a real difference in a teaching based role that requires the successful candidate to teach small groups but would not be classroom based.
The school staff are extremely supportive and the ethos of the school is very child and wider school community- centred.
The vast majority of pupils come from a variety of minority ethnic backgrounds. Over 90% of pupils have English as an additional language. The proportion of pupils identified with learning difficulties and or disabilities is below average. Ofsted stated that the school is "well led and managed and as a result it is a good school. The talented headteacher, capable deputy headteacher and other senior leaders have worked hard to make this the case in the very short space of time the school has been open. They have been supported and guided exceptionally well by a knowledgeable and very astute governing body. One of the emerging strengths of leadership is the forging of effective links with parents, the local community and beyond. The headteacher gives clear direction to the work of the school and along with his deputy headteacher is effective in monitoring what it does."
