In 1973 Kingston, Jamaica, 10-year-old Dennis Campbell aka D witnesses the death of his older brother Jerry Dread at a block party. D swear revenge. A decade later, D is a lieutenant for music impresario King Fox, who dispatches his best man to London with a consignment of drugs. D senses something is awry and he flees the lair of hard man Rico. D seeks refuge with his estranged wife Yvonne and their child but Rico and his goons are determined to track down their man.
