We Jam Econo: The Story Of The Minutemen

The Minutemen – singer Mike Watt, guitarist D. Boon and drummer George Hurley – was a trio from San Pedro, a town south of Los Angeles, whose fusion of funk, punk and country garnered a cult following in the early 1980s. Tim Irwin’s documentary uses archive footage and interviews with the band’s many (celebrity) fans to trace the development of the three-piece up to death of Boon in 1985, which inevitably called time on The Minutemen.
