A dramatisation of the murder of Asian teenager Zahid Mubarek, who was killed in his cell at a young offender’s institution by fellow inmate Robert Stewart. In flashback, the film sketches the turbulent childhood of Stewart, who was abused by his racist father, perhaps sowing the seeds of his prejudice, and details the catalogue of errors that led to Mubarek sharing a cell with Stewart.
