Titus (18)

General Titus Andronicus returns from war to Rome, bringing with him – as prisoners – Tamora, Queen of the Goths, and her sons Chiron and Demetrius. When tragedy strikes and Tamora becomes the bride of the new Roman emperor Saturninus, Titus finds himself and his family the victims of the Goth queen’s cruelty. Rape, murder and villainous acts gradually nudge Titus towards the pits of despair, but in his greatest moments of darkness, he finds the strength to concoct a most ingenious plan to exact a terrible revenge all of his own.
