Computer physicist Sugata Mitra worked for a technology company with offices next door to a slum. He decided to conduct an experiment by constructing a computer in the wall of the building to observe how local children interacted with the machine. This documentary follows Mitra as he argues that children are able to teach themselves through computer-based learning. He opens the first School In The Cloud classroom in Korakati in India and witnesses the impact on families in this rural community.
