Skylar and Dan are partway through their nuptials when hell breaks loose on earth. The newlyweds escape the carnage and head for the nearest place of worship, where they find momentary solace in the company of sweethearts Allison and Jack, videographer Tommy and a young woman called Sam. Terrified of what awaits them outside, the sextet huddle for warmth inside the church and rake over past sins, questioning the strength of their faith in the face of the apocalypse.
