Vincent Huguet directs Patrice Chereau’s acclaimed staging of Richard Strauss’ impassioned opera, previously presented in Aix and Milan, which was recorded live on the stage of the Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts in New York under the baton of conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen. The story unfolds in Mycenae, Greece, some years after the end of the Trojan War, where Klytaemnestra schemes with her lover Aegisth to murder her husband, Agamemnon.
