Ed Crane is a barber who runs the local shop with his talkative brother-in-law Frank. He is married to bookkeeper Doris who barely pays him any attention, and seems to be much more interested in his bank balance than his body. When Ed learns that Doris is having an affair with clothing store boss Big Dave Brewster, he is neither surprised not that upset, but resolves to turn the situation to his own benefit.
