Born and raised in Oxford, musician James Lavelle played his first DJ set at the tender age of 14 and four years later, he launched the Mo’Wax record label. In 1998, Mo’Wax released UNKLE’s debut album Psyence Fiction produced by DJ Shadow. Director Matthew Jones sifts through more than 700 hours of footage including a personal archive spanning 30 years to chart Lavelle’s rapid rise. Featuring contributions from Joshua Homme, Robert del Naja aka 3D, Ian Brown, Thom Yorke and Grandmaster Flash.
