Highly decorated soldier Major Bennett Marco is haunted by the past: he suffers nightmarish flashbacks of fellow soldier Sergeant Raymond Shaw killing two of his own men. Following a chance encounter with one of the soldiers from that time, Allen Melvin, Marco slowly pieces together his fragmented memories. He begins to suspect that he and his unit were subjected to brainwashing experiment to transform ordinary soldiers into obedient assassins.
