The Levelling

Clover Catto is training to become a veterinarian when she receives a distressing telephone call about her younger brother, Harry. He is dead and Clover must return home to her estranged father Aubrey as the family prepares for the funeral. Returning to an area of Somerset, which has been devastated by floods in the past six months, Clover discovers Aubrey is an empty husk. Clover takes charge of the ailing farm as she learns the truth about her sibling’s final days.
