Paloma Josse is 11-years-old and already bored with life. So much so, she is planning to commit suicide on her 12th birthday. In the weeks leading up to the big day, Paloma decides to make a film about the absurdities in her life. In the process, she meets her enigmatic new neighbour, Kakuro Ozu. He is fascinated by the building’s grumpy concierge, Renee Michel, so Kakuro enlists Paloma’s help to bring Renee out of her shell.
