Jeff Bridges narrates and provides the moody jazz score for a documentary about the Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles, which was at the epicentre of the city’s burgeoning art scene in the ’50s. Founded by Ed Kienholz and Walter Hopps, the gallery championed emerging local talent such as Wallace Berman, Robert Irwin, Ed Moses and Ed Ruscha, and venerated the then-unknown Andy Warhol. Filmmaker Neville explores this rich period of artist discovery through a mosaic of home movies, archive footage, striking photographs and interviews with the people who were there.
