Struggling stand-up comedian James Mullinger works as a journalist for COQ Magazine. Straight-talking editor Phillip commissions James to travel to Los Angeles to interview the greatest comedians from both sides of the Atlantic, in particular Dustin Stratford, for a forthcoming special edition of the magazine. Far from home, James is granted private audiences with some of his comedy heroes and he begins to rediscover that spark of passion for stand-up.
