Parisian lawyer Paul Exben has a beautiful if emotionally cold wife, Sarah, two beautiful children and a lifestyle that most of his friends and colleagues would kill for. Yet some spark of excitement is missing from his life. When Paul discovers that Sarah is having an extra-marital affair with a local photographer called Gregoire Kremer, he confronts the other man and in the ensuing scuffle, Paul accidentally kills his rival.
