Kenny and his sibling Dave are petty criminals who pull of small-scale heists. One robbery goes horribly wrong and Kenny is captured by the police and arrested. He refuses to name his accomplices and is sentenced to seven years behind bars for his crime. He leaves behind his girlfriend Sylvie, who falls in love with Dave while Kenny is incarcerated. Sylvie falls pregnant just as Kenny is released on parole after four years in prison.
