A documentary about Los Angeles Criminal Court Judge Craig Mitchell, who suffers from a painful spinal condition but he enjoys running and he pounds the streets in defiance of medical advice. He visits the Midnight Mission homeless shelter and is compelled to start a running club for the men and women. He makes a promise to the addicts and criminals - if they run with him and stay clear of drugs, he will reward them with a free trip to run in an international marathon.
