Show Boat (PG)

Francesca Zambello directs this lavish staging of the classic American musical, which was recorded live at San Francisco Opera’s resplendent theatre. John DeMain conducts an all-star cast as the deck hands, workers and performers aboard a show boat called Cotton Blossom, which travels through Mississippi from the late 1880s to the 1920s against a vibrant backdrop of intolerance and racism.
