New take on the Shaft films of the ’70s featuring Samuel L Jackson as the eponymous African-American private detective (the nephew of the original John Shaft). In the new film, Shaft is enlisted to catch a racist murderer before he kills a young woman who witnessed his latest heinous crime. Unfortunately, the killer is being shielded from the law by a rich and powerful underworld figure called People Hernandez.
