Royal Ballet Live: La Bayadere

Boris Gruzin conducts a live broadcast from The Royal Opera in London of Natalia Makarova’s production of the classic ballet set in a world of valiant warriors and temple dancers. Marianela Nunez and Vadim Muntagirov play beautiful dancer Nikiya and warrior Solor, who meet in secret and swear mutual fidelity. The High Brahmin, who is also in love with Nikiya, overhears the pledge and reveals the secret romance to the Rajah. He decrees that Solor must marry his beloved daughter Gamzatti.
