In 1990 small-town Minnesota, mechanic John Gray makes a nervous confession to the police about sexually abusing his virginal 17-year-old daughter Angela during a satanic ritual. Detective Bruce Kenner is deeply sceptical and enlists the services of British psychoanalyst Dr Kenneth Raines to use regression therapy to piece together the truth from John and Angela’s fractured memories. These testimonies cast a dark shadow over the close-knit community.
