Psycho Vertical

Based on the best-selling autobiography of world-class climber Andy Kirkpatrick, Psycho Vertical is an award-winning documentary directed by Jen Randall about a family man who has repeatedly risked his life to ascend some of the world's most dangerous alpine routes. The focus of the film is Kirkpatrick's gruelling 30000 foot solo ascent of El Capitan in Yosemite, California. The documentary traces the climber's formative years in 1970s Hull and the impact of an absent father.
