One Or Two Questions

In 1986, the Uruguayan Parliament controversially granted amnesty to members of the police and military, who had been accused of crimes and human rights violations during junta rule between 1973 and 1985. This documentary draws from a wealth of in-person interviews conducted between 1987 and 1989 on the streets of Uruguay to explore how citizens wrestled with thorny questions of justice and democracy during a period of social and political upheaval.
