Good friends Panchavan Parivendan, Sevalkodi Senthil and Venkatramakrishnan are studying engineering at college and all three are at the mercy of the sadistic dean, Professor Virumandi Santhanam, who is nicknamed Virus. Panchavan makes a sworn enemy of the dean by falling hopelessly in love with the professor's daughter, Ria. Virus tries to douse any smouldering embers of attraction and retaliates by attempting to turn Sevalkodi and Venkatramakrishnan against Panchavan.
