Heavy metal fan Jacek lives at home with his family and is dating a local girl, Dagmara, who likes to party. Their romance goes from strength to strength and the couple gets engaged. Then disaster strikes. Jacek takes a tumble on a construction site of a gargantuan statue of Jesus and is badly injured. He is rushed into hospital where surgeons have to perform a face transplant to save Jacek. He emerges unrecognisable to loved ones and himself. His sister stands by Jacek during his rehabilitation.
