Ballsy lawyer Kimberley Motley leaves her husband and three children in America to become the only foreign lawyer, and the only woman, with a license to practice in Afghanistan’s courts. At first, she takes up the position purely for financial reasons but Motley soon realises the international community has shamefully neglected Afghan society as she defends Western and local clients accused of criminal acts.
