Dutiful daughter Uma lives with her musician father Job in Kolkata. While the daughter is happily settled on the banks of the Hooghly River, Job yearns to return to his homeland and he persuades Uma to accompany him on this odyssey. En route, Uma learns disturbing secrets about her father that drive a wedge between them. In Uma’s hour of need, an unlikely ally provides her with a shoulder to cry on and helps her to rebuild bridges to Job.
