Max (12A)

Kyle Wincott follows his father into the Marine Corps and serves as a dog handler in Afghanistan, flanked by a trusty Belgian Malinois called Max. Sadly, Kyle dies in the line of duty and two officers visit the home of Kyle’s father Ray, mother Pamela and truculent younger brother Justin to deliver the devastating news. The Wincotts agree to adopt Max. In the process, the dog helps Justin to come to terms with his aching loss and to reconnect with his loving parents.
