American film producer and millionaire playboy Jeremy Prokosch grows increasingly concerned about a film version of Homer’s Odyssey, which he has entrusted to venerated Austrian director Fritz Lang. In order to make the art house film more commercial, Jeremy approaches playwright Paul Javal to rework the script. While Paul attempts to work his magic on the page, he temporarily entrusts his beautiful wife Camille Javal to Prokosch.
