Disgruntled sixtysomething cartoonist Victor Drumond is at odds with the technology-driven demands of the present, which creates tension with his psychoanalyst wife Marianne. After one brutal exchange, she throws him out. Desperate to rekindle his love for Marianne, Victor engages the services of a reenactment service, which allows wealthy customers to experience any moment in time. He chooses to replay a rain-soaked day in 1975 when he first met Marianne in a tiny bistro in Lyon.
