Ian and his fiancee Sam are recently engaged and intend to celebrate by sleeping beneath the stars in the Australian outback. They choose the same picturesque lakeside spot as the bohemian Baker clan comprising father Rob, wife Margaret, their troubled teenage daughter Em and infant son Ollie. Both parties are targeted by sadistic rifle-toting buddies Chook and German, who get their kicks by torturing and abusing victims before they administer a fatal shot.
