During the late ’30s, as the Nazis escalated their murderous anti-Semitic activities, a series of special trains known as the Kindertransport were hurriedly put into action to evacuate Jewish children from Germany to England. Mark Jonathan Harris’s emotionally wrought documentary interweaves archive footage from this terrible time with interviews from a number of Kindertransport survivors, to recount one of the most shameful and disturbing periods in modern European history.
