Doug “The Thug” Glatt still operates as an enforcer for the Halifax Highlanders owned by Hyrum Cain. During one closely-fought match, Doug gets into a brawl with rival enforcer Anders Cain, who happens to be Hyrum’s son. Doug is badly injured and decides to call time on his career on the ice for the sake of his relationship with his wife Eva. Without Doug on the team, the Halifax Highlanders go on a spectacular losing streak and Hyrum names Anders as the new captain.
