Gone Baby Gone (15)

One of Boston’s poorest neighbourhoods is rocked by the disappearance of little Amanda McCready from her home. The girl’s mother, Helene, makes a television appeal for her safe return while the police swarm the scene, led by Captain Jack Doyle. Frustrated by the lack of police progress, the girl’s grandmother Bea enlists the services of private investigators Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro to make their own enquiries, speaking to people on the seamier side of the city’s underworld who would never share information with the police.
