Glyndebourne Live Encore Screening: Hamlet

Neil Armfield directs the world premiere staging of Brett Dean’s bold operatic work based on Shakespeare’s tragedy, which was recorded live at Glyndebourne’s resplendent opera house in East Sussex under the baton of conductor Vladimir Jurowski. Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, is tormented by the sudden death of his beloved father. His grief is exacerbated by the subsequent marriage of his mother Gertrude and uncle Claudius.
