Tanner and Brent are best friends at North Gateway High School. The lads are both gay but while Tanner is content to stay in the closet, extrovert Brent is preparing his coming out so that he is transformed into the year’s must-have accessory for every self-respecting clique: the G.B.F. (Gay Best Friend). Brent’s plans go awry and poor Tanner is outed to his classmates. Overnight, the shy teenager goes from nobody to fashion-savvy talk of the schoolyard.
