Dominic Toretto, his girlfriend Letty and their posse make a meagre living behind the wheels of their souped-up machines, stealing the payloads from petrol tankers in the Dominican Republican. When tragedy strikes, Dominic reluctantly returns to Los Angeles where he is a wanted man, staying under the radar of the local cops including maverick Detective Brian O’Conner, who let him escape custody a few years ago. The two men cross paths looking for the same underworld figure, who procures the best drivers to run drugs across the Mexico-US border. Dominic and Brian are soon embroiled in a high-speed game of cat and mouse, blurring the lines between right and wrong as they seek to bring down the cartel. Meanwhile, Dominic’s sister Mia struggles with her feelings for Brian.
