Writer-director Andrew Kotting ruminates on the relationship between King Harold II and his wife Edith Swan-Neck, also known as Edith The Fair, who is depicted cradling him in a striking sculpture at Grosvenor Gardens on the sea front in St Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex. He embarks on a walk from Waltham Abbey in Essex via Battle Abbey to St Leonards-on-Sea, tracing the route that King Harold’s body took for burial near the High Altar following the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
